Nik P. to make acting debut in Wörthersee series

Austrian Schlager singer Nik P. is set to make his acting debut in the pilot episode of the humorous series "Die Rettungsschwimmer vom Wörthersee." Filming is scheduled to take place between August 23 and August 27 at Lake Wörthersee.

Nik P. will portray Christian Scheider, the mayor of Klagenfurt, alongside his wife, Karin, who will play the role of the mayor's wife. The project, produced by Stefanie Mayer, features an ensemble cast including Heino, F. M. Stoeckel, Micaela Schäfer, Christoph Fälbl, Nicole Mieth, Silvio Samoni, and Olympic champion Lara Vadlau. Actor Otto Retzer was originally planned but had to decline due to scheduling conflicts.

Nik P. noted that while he had previously declined offers, he ultimately accepted the role after receiving management approval. The pilot is part of a planned ten-episode series.
