Nika Game launches ‘Nikai no Kentei’ Master Tournament

The variety program ‘Nika Game’ will air a special large-scale project titled ‘Nikai no Kentei Meijin-sen’ (Nikai Proficiency Test Master Tournament) on August 12. The show features Takashi Nikaido (Kis-My-Ft2), Kemuri Matsui (Reiwa Roman), and Shuto Inomata (timelesz) participating in an educational death game format.

The tournament focuses on decoding ‘Nikai English,’ a series of unpredictable and creative English phrases generated by Nikaido and Inomata. Competitors vying for the title of ‘Master’ include Shunta Sono (M!LK), Gaku (Shinku Jesica), Sekita (Time Machine No. 3), Minamikawa, and QuizKnock’s Fukura P.

During the initial round involving Sono, Sekita, and Minamikawa, participants struggled significantly with the unconventional linguistic challenges. Meanwhile, Kemuri Matsui, described as a ‘professional Nika gamer,’ demonstrated exceptional skill by correctly answering extremely difficult questions, causing a stir among the cast.
