Nike ACG unveils Picklejus ultra-distance trail running shoe
Nike ACG has officially unveiled the Picklejus, a high-performance trail running shoe designed for ultra-distance mountain running and extreme terrain. The footwear is specifically engineered to handle long-distance efforts exceeding 100 miles, such as those found in the Mont Blanc region.
The shoe features several technological innovations, most notably a dual-density supercritical foam platform. This setup utilizes a soft ZoomX core for impact absorption during descents, paired with a firmer perimeter ring to provide stability on uneven ground. Additionally, the new GOATEK traction platform is designed to offer 45% more grip on wet surfaces and increased abrasion resistance compared to previous models.
The upper is constructed from trail-tuned Flyknit using hydrophobic yarns to repel water and reduce weight in muddy conditions. It also includes adjustable containment cables and a gaiter-style cuff to prevent debris from entering the shoe. The Picklejus is expected to be released in late 2027.
