Nike announces MoMA collaboration and global Air Works design program
Nike has announced several new footwear initiatives involving design collaborations and global talent programs. The company is set to release the MoMA x Nike Air Rift 2 in Fall 2026. This collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art features two women’s styles based on the split-toe silhouette, utilizing bold colors and subtle co-branding to reflect the museum’s design identity.
Additionally, Nike Sportswear has launched the Air Works program, an initiative that brings together international designers to co-create the future of Air Max. The program utilizes 3D-printed footwear technology and has hosted designers at Nike’s Philip H. Knight Campus in Oregon. The first silhouettes revealed include designs from Motoi Hatsuki of Tokyo and Tasnim of London, with a rolling schedule of reveals from designers in Beijing, Los Angeles, Mumbai, Shanghai, Paris, and New York through early 2027.
