Nike appoints former Walmart executive Jane Ewing as Chief Commercial Officer

Nike, Inc. has appointed Jane Ewing as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, effective September 7. Ewing will report directly to President and CEO Elliott Hill and join the company’s Senior Leadership Team.

Ewing joins Nike following a nearly 14-year career at Walmart, where she most recently served as interim CEO for Sam’s Club China. Her previous experience includes senior leadership roles in merchandising, digital acceleration, and international operations, as well as leadership positions at Diageo plc.

In her new role, Ewing will lead Nike’s global Marketplace organization, overseeing sales and Nike Direct. Hill stated that the appointment is a vital part of the company’s efforts to create a more integrated marketplace and strengthen global growth opportunities.
