Nike Charged in $1 Million Kickback Scheme Involving Former Music Supervisor
John Griffith, who oversaw global brand marketing and music supervision for Nike, and consultant Brad Mosher were indicted on 24 felony counts, including racketeering, aggravated theft by deception and money‑laundering. Prosecutors allege the pair ran a kickback scheme from June 2020 to December 2022, inflating prices for Mosher’s licensing firm Good Measure LLC – Nike’s sole client – and routing roughly half of the payments back to Griffith through a shell company, Quiver and Bow LLC. At least 11 fraudulent transactions of $50,000 or more were identified, resulting in more than $1 million taken from Nike. Both men were arrested in June, with Griffith released on $100,000 bail and Mosher on $5,000 bail. Nike is seeking full restitution of the stolen funds.
