Nike Moon Shoe OG returns to challenge Adidas Samba popularity

Nike is reintroducing the Moon Shoe OG, a retro silhouette from the 1970s, as a major competitor to the popular Adidas Samba this autumn. The model draws inspiration from the early experimental designs of Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, specifically referencing the waffle-patterned soles used to increase traction.

The standard Moon Shoe OG is available in various colorways, including cream and black, and is priced at approximately 100 euros. Additionally, Nike has released a collaboration with the fashion brand Jacquemus, which features three color options priced at 180 euros. The design is noted for its minimalist, vintage aesthetic that aligns with current fashion trends such as 'sneakerinas'.
