Nike outlines new ‘Sport Offense’ strategy as investor Rule One Partners trims stake
Nike announced a broad operational transformation for fiscal 2026, led by President and CEO Elliott Hill. The plan, dubbed “Sport Offense,” shifts about 8,000 employees into vertically integrated sport teams, simplifies the supply chain and technology functions, and reshapes leadership to speed decision‑making. While the changes lifted gross margins, earnings per share slipped as the company increased investment in the rebuild.
Separately, Rule One Partners LLC reduced its holding in Nike shares by 94.6%, selling 35,000 shares and ending the quarter with just 2,001 shares worth roughly $106,000, making the stock its ninth‑largest position.
