Nike unveils Tokyo-inspired Air Force 1 LX ‘1CON’
Nike has unveiled the Air Force 1 LX ‘1CON’, a special edition sneaker inspired by Tokyo’s hip-hop culture and sneaker history. The release serves as a precursor to the Air Force 1’s 45th anniversary in 2027.
The design draws inspiration from the 2008 realmad HECTIC Air Force 1, featuring a green leather base that inverts the color palette of the original red croc-textured model. Premium details include an ostrich-textured leather Swoosh and heel patch, along with aged-gold accents on the eyelets and dubrae. The ‘1CON’ branding on the heel is laser-engraved to reference the ‘1LOVE’ releases from the shoe’s 25th anniversary.
The shoe was recently showcased at an exhibition at atmos Sendagaya alongside archival models. The ‘1CON’ is scheduled to release first in Japan on August 31, with a broader global release expected via Nike SNKRS and other retailers.
