Nikšić Assembly President denies nepotism allegations

The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) has accused Milica Lalatović Žižić, the President of the Nikšić Municipal Assembly, of using her position to secure employment for her family members. The party claims that Lalatović Žižić has used political pressure and the blocking of assembly sessions to facilitate jobs for her brother, husband, and sister in various state and local institutions.

Lalatović Žižić has denied these allegations, calling them “half-truths” intended to create a false narrative. She stated that her family members earned their positions through professional merit and education rather than political influence. She specifically noted that her brother was employed in 2023 before she held any political office, and clarified that her husband is a professor and not a member of the Tehnobaza Board of Directors. She challenged the DPS to engage in political debate with her directly rather than targeting her family.
