Montenegro: Political shifts in Danilovgrad and local developments in Cetinje and Nikšić

In Danilovgrad, representatives of the Europe Now Movement (PES) and independent councilors Aleksandra Pavićević and Goran Kalezić have discussed intensifying cooperation and a potential joint appearance in upcoming local elections. The goal is to increase political offerings and coordinate actions within the local parliament to improve the quality of life for citizens.

In Cetinje, a Montenegrin family from Berlin, in collaboration with the Municipality of Cetinje, will provide monetary awards to members of the Cetinje Fire and Rescue Service. This initiative recognizes their exceptional contribution to fighting fires in Cetinje and other parts of Montenegro.

In Nikšić, local officials marked the Municipality Day with a ceremonial session. While leadership highlighted achievements such as Nikšić being named a UNESCO City of Music and the European Capital of Culture 2030, opposition members from the DPS and European Alliance criticized the current administration for a lack of strategic development and alleged mismanagement of funds.
