Nikšić hosts first documentary exhibition dedicated to Ivo Andrić

A documentary exhibition titled ‘Andrić: priča ostaje’ (Andrić: the story remains) has opened at the Matica srpska – Društvo članova in Nikšić, Montenegro. Created by Marjan Marinković, this marks the first time such a documentary installation dedicated to the Nobel Prize-winning writer has been presented in the country.

The exhibition features approximately twenty panels organized into several thematic sections. Rather than focusing on direct quotes from his literary works, the display aims to highlight the personal life, philosophical views, and creative principles of Ivo Andrić. Marinković stated that the goal was to provide a hermeneutic key to understanding the author's work by exploring his essential life and poetic stances.

During the opening, Professor Lidija Tomić noted that Andrić significantly enriched literature through a diverse creative arc ranging from lyrical-meditative poetry and prose to novels, essays, and translations.
