Nikšić police charge teenager with vehicle arson
Police in Nikšić, Montenegro, have filed criminal charges against a 16-year-old boy suspected of setting a vehicle on fire using a pyrotechnic flare. The incident occurred in the Straševina neighborhood on October 23, 2026, following a verbal and physical altercation involving several individuals.
According to the Nikšić Security Department, the suspect allegedly used a flare to ignite a parked Dacia Duster. The vehicle had been driven to the location by individuals connected to a conflict involving someone close to the teenager. The suspect fled the scene after the fire started.
The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić has classified the act as the criminal offense of destruction and damage of another person's property and ordered the filing of the criminal complaint.
