Nikšić—Plužine road reconstruction completed

Officials have inaugurated the completed reconstruction of the Zaborje — Jasenovo Polje section of the Nikšić—Plužine main road. The project covers approximately 14 kilometers and was designed to meet modern safety and quality standards.

Nikšić Mayor Marko Kovačević stated that the modern road will significantly improve traffic connectivity and safety for both local residents and transit travelers. Additionally, nearly two kilometers of local roads in Jasenovo Polje have been paved.

Minister of Transport Radoš Zečević announced that work will continue on the next 7.4 km section from Zagorje to Seljanovo, for which 15 million euros will be allocated. The long-term goal is to transform the entire route from Podgorica to Šćepan Polje via Plužine into a modern thoroughfare providing a connection toward Bosnia and Herzegovina.
