Nikita Stoinov misses Dinamo match for Yom Kippur observance
Dinamo Bucharest center-back Nikita Stoinov was absent from the squad for the Liga 1 match against Farul Constanța due to religious observance. While coach Nuno Campos initially cited a “private matter” for the player's absence, reports indicate Stoinov was observing Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
Stoinov, who has been a regular starter for the first nine stages of the season, was replaced in the starting lineup by Imran Fetai. The 21-year-old defender, who has also been called up to the Israel national team, is expected to return to his home country to participate in upcoming Nations League fixtures against Austria, Ireland, and Kosovo.
