Nikita Tszyu to make United States debut in Arizona
Australian boxer Nikita Tszyu is set to make his United States debut on December 5 at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Tszyu will compete in an eight-round super welterweight bout as part of a card headlined by David Benavidez against Michal Cieslak.
Tszyu, who holds a professional record of 12-0-1 with ten knockouts, has not yet been matched against a specific opponent, with No Limit Boxing expected to announce a rival within the coming week. The fighter expressed readiness for the unknown, noting his experience in amateur boxing where opponents were often unannounced until fight day.
The event carries personal significance for the southpaw, as the venue is the same location where his father, Kostya Tszyu, secured his final victory in 2004. Tszyu described the opportunity to fight on a major card where he is not the headliner as a “humbling moment” necessary for his professional growth.
