Nikita Zadorov reacts to being scratched by Boston Bruins
Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov expressed disappointment after being scratched from a game against the Los Angeles Kings due to disciplinary issues. The decision followed a game against the Anaheim Ducks where Zadorov committed a double-minor penalty, including elbowing and roughing against Frank Vatrano.
Bruins coach Marco Sturm cited Zadorov’s on-ice discipline as the reason for the scratch, noting that while Zadorov is a leader and tremendous player, his discipline needs improvement. Zadorov, a veteran with 14 years in the league, described feeling ‘disappointed’ and ‘disgusted’ by the situation but stated he intends to move on, noting that professional hockey is ‘a business.’
In other team news, forward Pavel Zacha is considered a game-time decision for an upcoming matchup against the Dallas Stars following an undisclosed injury sustained during the game against Anaheim.
