Nikka Frontier Highball canned whisky launches in Japan

Nikka Whisky launched a new canned highball, the Nikka Frontier Highball, across Japan on July 14, 2026. The 350 ml cans contain 7% ABV whisky made with heavy‑peat malt from the Yoichi distillery, delivering a smoky aroma and a smooth finish. The product retails for 238 yen (tax excluded).

The launch event was held at Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, featuring the comedy duo Sayaka, who promoted the beverage and discussed their personal challenges. The brand builds on the Nikka Frontier line introduced in 2024, which has already exceeded sales targets and expanded into South Korea, Taiwan, and European markets. The new canned format aims to make the premium whisky more accessible for casual consumption.
