Nikki Battiste Joins NBC as Early Today Anchor

Emmy‑ and Peabody‑winning journalist Nikki Battiste is leaving CBS News after nearly a decade to become the anchor of NBC’s Early Today and a contributor to the Today show. Her debut is scheduled for the week of August 10.

Battiste, who began her career as an NBC page and production assistant, called the move a “homecoming.” CBS colleagues, including Vladimir Duthiers, publicly congratulated her on social media.
