Nikki Glaser apologizes to influencer Briel Adams-Wheatley

Comedian Nikki Glaser has apologized to transgender influencer Briel Adams-Wheatley after a joke regarding Adams-Wheatley’s transition and body was included in a recent stand-up set.

Adams-Wheatley, who was born without limbs, learned of the routine after a fan contacted her directly. The influencer shared the exchange on Instagram, questioning why Glaser made comments regarding her anatomy. Glaser responded privately to Adams-Wheatley, stating that she “never meant to hurt” her feelings and expressed that she “hates anti-trans jokes of all kinds.”

Glaser stated that she would immediately remove the material from her act, noting that she did not want her comedy to contribute to anti-trans rhetoric. Adams-Wheatley later thanked her followers for their support as she processed the situation.
