Niklas Löbner wins Ironman Italy Emilia Romagna in Cervia

Niklas Löbner and Jacki Christen emerged victorious at the ninth edition of Ironman Italy Emilia Romagna in Cervia. The event drew approximately 6,500 athletes to the Adriatic coast for the grueling triathlon.

Löbner secured the men's title with a time of 8 hours, 5 minutes, and 20 seconds, finishing ahead of Matej Jukik and Alexander Wouters. The course consisted of a 3.8-kilometer swim in the Adriatic Sea, a 180-kilometer cycling leg through the Romagna region and Bertinoro, and a final 42.2-kilometer marathon between Cervia and Milano Marittima.

In the women's category, Jacki Christen claimed first place with a time of 9 hours, 40 minutes, and 50 seconds, followed by Lotte Bakx and Toinette del Castello.
