Samuele Inácio suspended for two matches by DFB

Borussia Dortmund player Samuele Inácio has received a two-match suspension from the DFB sports court following a match against Hamburger SV. The 18-year-old was sent off with a red card just three minutes after being substituted into the game due to a serious foul.

Following the dismissal, Inácio threw a water bottle against the Borussia Dortmund crest in the player tunnel. While the incident drew sharp criticism on social media, Dortmund coach Niko Kovač defended the young player. Kovač stated that the situation should not be blown out of proportion, noting that the dismissal was emotionally difficult for the teenager and emphasizing that no one was injured.

As a result of the suspension, Inácio will miss upcoming Bundesliga fixtures against 1899 Hoffenheim on September 5 and SC Paderborn on September 12.
