Niko Rubio announces debut album ‘late night swim’

Mexican/Salvadoran-American singer-songwriter Niko Rubio has announced her debut album, ‘late night swim’, which is scheduled for release via Atlantic Records on October 30. The project follows years of Rubio working as a songwriter for artists such as Gwen Stefani and The Warning.

The album is described as an exploration of heartbreak, self-discovery, and loss, blending musical influences from Los Angeles, London, and Jamaica. It features previously released tracks including the viral hit ‘tokyo’ and the single ‘kitty’. Rubio also announced that her new single, ‘dream’, will be released on Friday, September 25, accompanied by an official music video.

To produce the album, Rubio collaborated with several longtime creative partners, including producers Lester Mendez and Austin Ward, as well as contributors such as Zacari, Rodiah, and Olivia Bond.
