Nikola Csolov, Rafael Camara eye F1 seats amid Haas rumors
Bulgarian driver Nikola Csolov leads the Formula 2 championship with 167 points, while Brazilian Rafael Camara sits third with 145 points. Both are the main contenders for the title as the season approaches its summer break.
Rumours have linked Camara, a member of the Ferrari driver academy and a current Invicta driver, to a future seat at the Haas Formula 1 team, potentially as early as 2027 and possibly as a replacement for Esteban Ocon. Camara declined to discuss the speculation in detail, stating he is fully focused on the current Formula 2 campaign.
Csolov is part of Red Bull’s junior program, which traditionally provides pathways to Formula 1. The competition between the two young pilots is driving interest in the championship and keeping both the Ferrari and Red Bull development structures in the spotlight.
