Nikola Grbić outlines long‑term plan for Poland’s volleyball team ahead of Los Angeles 2028

Serbian coach Nikola Grbić, who has led the Poland men’s national volleyball team since 2022, presented his vision for the 2026 season. He said the programme will balance three priorities: giving experienced players rest, developing a new generation of talent, and maintaining competitive results in the Nations League, European Championships and the upcoming Olympic cycle.

Grbić announced a refreshed roster, noting the exclusion of several veterans such as Marcin Janusz, Grzegorz Łomacz, Łukasz Kaczmarek, Paweł Zatorski, Norbert Huber, Bartosz Kurek, Mateusz Bieniek and Jakub Kochanowski. The squad will rely on younger players like Kamil Semeniuk, Aleksander Śliwka, Wilfredo León, Tomasz Fornal and Bartłomiej Bołądź. He emphasized that the goal is to build a team capable of contending for medals at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games while continuing to win in the immediate future.
