Nikola Jokić wins NBA assist of the season award

Nikola Jokić has been voted the winner of the ‘NBA ID Fan Favorites’ assist of the season for the 2025/26 season. The Serbian center secured the award after receiving the most fan votes, surpassing nominees including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, James Harden, Alperen Sengun, Shaedon Sharpe, and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The winning play occurred during a game against Memphis, where Jokić delivered a no-look pass to teammate Payton Watson. The assist highlighted Jokić’s ability to predict court movement and utilize unconventional passing lanes, a hallmark of his playing style.

Other winners in the fan voting categories included Stephon Castle for dunk of the season, OG Anunoby for photo of the season, Luka Dončić for best ball move, and Bam Adebayo for game of the season.
