Nikola Krstović enters exceptional form for Atalanta and Montenegro

Nikola Krstović is experiencing a significant surge in form for both Atalanta BC and the Montenegro national team. Following a standout performance against Venezia, where he scored two goals and provided an assist, the striker has reached 11 goals in Serie A during the 2026 calendar year.

Italian publication Gazetta dello Sport highlighted his recent productivity, noting he scored four goals in 17 days, averaging one goal every 107 minutes across five matches. This scoring streak follows a successful international break where Krstović helped Montenegro remain undefeated in four matches, moving the team closer to promotion to the Nations League B division.

Krstović, who joined Atalanta in the summer of 2025 to replace Mateo Retegui, is now one of only five players in Serie A to have surpassed 10 goals in 2026. He trails only Donyell Malen, Lautaro Martínez, Marcus Thuram, and Anastasios Duvikas in total goals for the year.
