Montenegrin guard Nikola Rakocevic, 35, has signed with Vítaly La Mar BCB ahead of its inaugural season in Spain's Segunda FEB. The veteran arrives from Benicarló, where he averaged 10.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and a 7.5 valuation per game. Rakocevic brings more than a decade of experience in the former LEB Oro (now Primera FEB), having played for clubs such as Navarra, Clavijo, Breogán, Valladolid, Cáceres, Melilla, Lucentum, Real Betis, Grupo Alega Cantabria and Movistar Estudiantes, as well as an ACB stint with CAI Zaragoza. He highlighted personal reasons for the move, noting the proximity to his family in Extremadura, and expressed confidence that the team will have a strong season. The club also recently added Jamaican forward Jordan Kellier and retained guard Pablo Osés under coach Pablo Cuevas.
Rakocevic’s signing is seen as a boost of experience and leadership for the Badajoz side as it seeks to establish itself in the competitive second tier.
