Nikola reflects on the legacy of his late mother, Jelena Trikić

Nikola, a teenager from Drvar, is growing up with the memory of his mother, Jelena Trikić, who passed away only 40 days after his birth. Although he has no personal memories of her voice or presence, his father, Goran, has helped him learn about her life through photographs and stories.

Nikola is currently a ninth-grade student who aspires to become an English teacher. He lives with his father and his sister, with whom he maintains a close relationship. His father has worked to ensure that Nikola understands his mother's legacy despite the absence of direct childhood memories.
