Singer Nikola Rokvić has shared details regarding the final year of his father Marinko Rokvić’s life following his death from pancreatic cancer on November 6, 2021.

Nikola described the family’s year-long struggle to fight the illness, noting that while they were aware of the severity of the diagnosis from the beginning, they continued to fight until it was necessary to let him go. He expressed that the experience provided a perspective on life, emphasizing that in such moments, material possessions are secondary to family and one's legacy of good and bad deeds.

Nikola also noted that his faith provided comfort during the difficult period, suggesting that the time provided by the illness allowed Marinko to see how much he was loved and to reflect on his life.
