Nikola Tesla Airport conducts emergency security checks
Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade is conducting emergency passenger security controls following a procedural error by a ground handling company. The incident, which occurred around 5:00 PM, caused a disruption in the mandatory passenger flow, leading to significant crowds and the temporary closure of passport control and scanners.
Air Serbia has warned that the situation may cause flight delays of up to three hours, potentially affecting the third wave of scheduled flights. Passengers are advised to monitor flight schedules in real time and allow extra time for travel due to ongoing highway construction near the airport.
In Montenegro, the Auto-moto savez (AMSCG) has reported wet and slippery road conditions. Multiple road closures and traffic restrictions are in effect due to ongoing infrastructure projects, including the reconstruction of the Đurđevića Tara bridge on the M-6 highway, which has halted all vehicle and pedestrian traffic until October 26. Other regional roads and the Sozina tunnel are also experiencing scheduled maintenance or construction-related delays.
