Nikola Jokić faces criticism over comments regarding Denver fans

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić has drawn sharp criticism from American media following comments regarding Denver fans. After the team suffered a loss to the Golden State Warriors, Jokić expressed dissatisfaction with fans who booed the team during their home opener, suggesting that those who do not support the team should not attend games.

Colorado-based journalist Scotty Geyndzh of Channel 9 has publicly called for an apology, stating that Jokić “owes an apology to the fans” and arguing that supporters have a right to express their frustration when the team underperforms. Jokić has maintained his stance, telling reporters that he has played in much more intense atmospheres and remains firm in his opinion regarding the fans' behavior.

In other NBA news, the start of the season has been marked by a significant number of player injuries across several teams, including the Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic, and Minnesota Timberwolves. Additionally, Serbian center Ahmet Jonović is currently competing for a spot with the Grand Rapids Gold, the Denver Nuggets' G League affiliate.
