Nikola Tsolov maintains Formula 2 lead after Monza race

Bulgarian driver Nikola Tsolov maintained his lead in the Formula 2 championship following the Grand Prix at Monza. Driving for Campos Racing, Tsolov finished seventh in the main race after starting from ninth.

Despite facing penalties of three positions each for the sprint and main races following his sixth-place qualifying performance, Tsolov managed to secure valuable points. He finished fifth in the Saturday sprint race and climbed from eighth to seventh in the main race by overtaking Tasanakpol Intrapuvasak.

Joshua Dyrksen of Invicta Racing dominated the weekend, securing victories in both the sprint and main races. Tsolov’s teammate, Rafael Camara, finished second in the main race, moving into second place in the overall standings with 166 points, trailing Tsolov’s 177 points. The next Formula 2 races are scheduled to take place in Madrid, Spain.
