Nikolas Ferreira criticizes Lula government over leaked messages

Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) criticized President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's administration following the release of intercepted messages involving the president's son, Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, known as Lulinha.

The controversy stems from messages obtained by the Federal Police in communications between Lulinha and businesswoman Roberta Luchsinger, who is under investigation for suspected influence peddling. In one exchange from March 2024, Luchsinger reportedly told Lulinha that their future was in Switzerland, stating, “Our future is Switzerland.”

Speaking at a political event in Minas Gerais for the launch of Flávio Roscoe's gubernatorial candidacy, Ferreira used the remarks to mock the current government, stating, “Even Lula's son doesn't want to live in Brazil.” He suggested that if the situation is difficult for the president's family, it must be even worse for the general population.
