Nikolas Ferreira denies involvement in Michelle Bolsonaro video targeting Flávio Bolsonaro
Federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL‑MG) said on X on 7 June that he had no participation in the video released by former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro in which she alleges that Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL‑RJ) humiliated her during a phone call. Ferreira added that if evidence showed he coordinated or helped produce the footage, he would resign his mandate. He described the video as an attempt to damage him and criticized what he called “right‑wing media manipulation.”
The 27‑minute video, posted on 24 June, shows Michelle Bolsonaro claiming Flávio was “rude” and “disrespectful” on the phone and urging her to stay out of party decisions. Flávio denied ever mistreating a woman and said he never acted that way toward his step‑mother. The dispute traces back to December 2023 when Michelle publicly criticized the PL state branch in Ceará for supporting Ciro Gomes’s gubernatorial run. Ferreira was seen with Flávio at the PL’s third communication seminar in Rio de Janeiro on 3 June, further linking the parties to the controversy.
