Nikolas Ferreira sets record as Brazil's most voted federal deputy

Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) has set a new historical record in the Brazilian elections, becoming the most voted federal deputy in the country's history with over 3.1 million votes. This performance significantly exceeds his 2022 tally of approximately 1.49 million votes.

Lucas Pavanato (PL-SP) also achieved a historic result, surpassing 3 million votes to lead the Liberal Party (PL) delegation. Erika Hilton (PSOL-SP) recorded over 1.59 million votes, becoming the most voted woman in the history of the Chamber of Deputies.

The election results also highlighted political friction within the right-wing bloc. Nikolas Ferreira announced he would not provide political support to Carlos Bolsonaro, citing personal principles following accusations made by Carlos regarding Ferreira's relationship with the political system. Additionally, Ferreira expressed intentions to propose a Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) to investigate election research institutes, criticizing recent polling data.
