Nikolas Ferreira struck by eggs during campaign event in Minas Gerais

Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira was struck by eggs during a campaign event in Lagoa Santa, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, on Friday (4). An unidentified man threw two eggs at the lawmaker, one of which hit his shoulder. No official information has been released regarding the identity of the individual, potential arrests, or specific injuries sustained by the deputy.

The incident occurred following the release of an audio recording attributed to Ferreira. In the recording, the deputy reportedly sought assistance from Daniel Vorcaro, a former controller of Banco Master, regarding the release of a mining asset linked to a former aide. In the audio, Ferreira addressed Vorcaro with terms of endearment and apologized for previous social media criticisms directed at him. Ferreira has stated that the negotiation mentioned in the audio did not proceed and was abandoned following negative publicity surrounding Banco Master.
