The Instagram profile of Brazilian Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) experienced a sudden disappearance of content on Friday night. While the account remains active, the profile picture and all previous posts, photos, and videos were archived, leaving the feed empty.

Nikolas Ferreira, who has approximately 22 million followers and is considered one of the most influential politicians on the platform, has not yet commented on the cause of the blackout.

The Liberal Party (PL) in Minas Gerais issued a statement calling the incident an “absurdo” (absurdity). The party demanded explanations, noting the sensitivity of the timing due to the proximity of elections and emphasizing the importance of transparency and freedom of expression for high-profile political figures.
