Nikolaus Wurmbrand set for move from Rapid Wien to Feyenoord

Austrian 20‑year‑old winger Nikolaus Wurmbrand, who has made 76 appearances for Rapid Wien with nine goals and eight assists, has reached a personal agreement with Dutch club Feyenoord Rotterdam. The transfer is not yet final because Feyenoord must first complete a major sale – reportedly of defender Givairo Read to AS Roma – to balance its budget. Wurmbrand’s contract with Rapid runs until June 2028 and his market value is estimated at around €5 million. The player has attracted interest from Brentford, RSC Anderlecht and Real Sociedad, but Feyenoord’s technical director secured the personal deal, giving the Dutch side a slight edge. If the prerequisite sale goes through, the move could be announced within days, becoming a notable offensive addition for Feyenoord.
