Nikon is expanding its Z-mount lens lineup with updates to its professional telephoto offerings. The Nikkor Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S II has been released, featuring a more compact and lightweight design compared to its predecessor. The lens now weighs 1180g and measures 208mm in length, utilizing Silky Swift Voice Coil Motors for fast, silent autofocus and offering up to 6 stops of vibration reduction when paired with in-body stabilization.
Additionally, Nikon has announced the development of the Nikkor Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S. This specialized telezoom is expected to feature an integrated 1.4x teleconverter, allowing for two configurations: 120–300mm at f/2.8 and 168–420mm at f/4. While official pricing is pending, industry estimates suggest a US price of approximately $13,999.
