Nikon announces Z5IIC full-frame mirrorless camera

Nikon has announced the Z5IIC, a full-frame mirrorless camera designed with the Nikon Z mount. The device is specifically targeted at beginners, enthusiasts, and content creators, aiming to make high-quality photography and video more accessible through intuitive, automatic shooting modes.

A key feature is the inclusion of 15 scene modes on the mode dial, a first for Nikon’s full-frame mirrorless lineup. These modes automatically optimize settings such as white balance and brightness for subjects like portraits, pets, food, and night landscapes. The camera also features a dedicated button for ‘Imaging Recipes’ created by Nikon and professional creators to simplify visual styling.

Technical specifications include a backside-illuminated CMOS sensor paired with the EXPEED 7 image-processing engine. The camera utilizes AI-powered autofocus with deep-learning technology capable of detecting 10 subject types. For video, it supports 4K UHD recording at up to 60 fps and Full HD at 120 fps, and can function as a live webcam via USB connection.
