Nikon reveals 2026 Comedy Wildlife Awards finalists

Nikon has announced the finalists for the 2026 Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards. This year’s competition set a record with more than 10,000 entries submitted from 112 different countries.

The shortlist includes 40 individual finalists, three U16 category finalists, four portfolio category finalists, and nine video category finalists. The entries feature various humorous animal moments, such as crocodiles resembling Elvis Presley and leopards performing handstands.

Co-founder Tom Sullam noted that the competition began as a small effort in the Serengeti to raise wildlife conservation awareness and has since evolved into a global event. The organizers aim to use humor to foster empathy for wildlife to encourage positive behavioral changes.

The winners will be revealed on December 8 during an awards ceremony in London. A free exhibition featuring the 2026 finalists will follow from December 9 to December 13 at Gallery@Oxo.
