Nikon Z70 camera details potentially leaked via FCC filing
New FCC registration filings for a Nikon N2416 wireless remote controller have provided potential technical drawings of the rumored Nikon Z70 camera. The user manual included with the registration features a camera body design that does not match any current Nikon mirrorless models.
Observers noted an unusual additional button located next to the top LCD screen, a layout that differs from existing models like the Z6III or Z7 II. The drawings also suggest a return to upward-facing strap lugs, a design feature seen on the original Z6, which may resolve issues where triangular lugs interfered with memory card compartment covers on newer models.
The Z70 is expected to be a high-end APS-C model. Previous leaks, including an accidental mention in a Nikon newsletter and an appearance on an Apple support page, have suggested the camera may feature a 45-megapixel stacked sensor.
