Nikos Dendias holds first major political rally in Alimos

Greek Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias held his first major political rally at the Akanthus center in Alimos, marking the start of his campaign ahead of the 2027 elections. Addressing a large crowd of New Democracy supporters, Dendias emphasized his lifelong loyalty to the party, stating he has never worked against its interests.

Dendias highlighted his political history, noting that he served under three New Democracy Prime Ministers: Kostas Karamanlis, Antonis Samaras, and Kyriakos Mitsotakis. He described himself as a “servant of the party” and expressed pride in supporting the organization through both victories and defeats.

During his speech, Dendias also sent a message to internal party critics, urging them to engage in institutional dialogue rather than seeking public confrontation through media appearances. He reaffirmed his commitment to the party's ideology and values, rejecting ideological concessions to the center or the left.
