Nikos Kaminogiannakis steps down from Tsikoudia Distillers Association

Nikos Kaminogiannakis has announced his decision not to run for the new Board of Directors of the Association of Traditional Tsikoudia Distillers of Lasithi Prefecture following the completion of recent elections. Having served the association since its inception in 2014, including roles as General Secretary and President, Kaminogiannakis cited increased personal responsibilities and obligations as the reason for stepping down.

During his tenure, the association worked to advocate for the traditional distillation sector at both local and national levels. This included collaborations with the Federation of Amvychos and Viticulturists of Greece, as well as engagement with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Rural Development and Food to address industry issues. The association also maintained cooperation with regional agricultural authorities and customs offices in Agios Nikolaos and Sitia.
