Nikos Maziotis responds to US Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoil

Nikos Maziotis has issued a sharp response to statements made by US Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoil regarding his imprisonment. Maziotis characterized the Ambassador’s remarks as an indication that he is on the right path, stating that he would be concerned if she offered praise for him.

Maziotis criticized the Ambassador and the United States, labeling her a representative of ‘imperialists’ and accusing the US of hypocrisy for calling him a ‘terrorist’ while engaging in military actions in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Gaza. He further criticized the role of the US and the IMF in imposing austerity measures on the Greek people and referenced historical US involvement in Greek internal affairs, including the civil war and the dictatorship.
