Nikos Mouratidis criticizes use of singers as talent show judges

Radio producer Nikos Mouratidis has criticized the current trend of using singers as judges on television talent shows. Speaking to media outlets, Mouratidis commented on the addition of singer Paola to the coaching panel of ‘The Voice’ on SKAI, following the departure of Giorgos Mazonakis.

While Mouratidis expressed personal approval of Paola, he expressed strong disapproval of the industry's direction. He stated that television shows have gone ‘from bad to worse’ because of the reliance on singers in judging roles. He contrasted this with his own experience as a judge, claiming that past panels were more engaging because audiences were genuinely interested in the critiques provided.
