Nikos Plakias disputes Velopoulos regarding bone photographs
Nikos Plakias, who lost his two daughters and niece in the Tempi train tragedy, has issued a sharp rebuke to Kyriakos Velopoulos, president of Elliniki Lysi, following a presentation in the Greek Parliament.
During a parliamentary session, Velopoulos displayed photographs of bones, claiming they belonged to victims of the Tempi rail accident. Plakias countered these claims via a social media post, asserting that the images actually depict the remains of a dog and a bovine (a small calf) found in a waste area near the site.
Plakias expressed shock at the presentation and issued a stern warning to Velopoulos, stating, “The next time you speak about bones and show photographs, you must be very careful because my children's bones were also found and I would not want anyone to show them for any reason.”
