Nikos Vagianis appointed CEO of Export Credit Greece to aid SME exporters
Nikos Vagianis has been appointed chief executive of Export Credit Greece (ECG). He brings more than 26 years of experience in credit insurance and risk management, having held senior positions at Atradius, Allianz Trade and Coface.
Vagianis says ECG will shift from traditional export‑insurance coverage to a broader model that includes preventive financing and support for Greek companies, especially small and medium‑sized enterprises, seeking to expand abroad. He aims to make the agency a reference point for firms taking the next step beyond Greece’s borders, offering greater flexibility, openness and alignment with international market requirements.
