Niksar teachers manually move school gazebo to new site

In the Niksar district of Tokat, teachers and the school principal manually relocated a large garden gazebo (kamelya) to a new educational site. The move follows the decision to demolish the Kaya İsmet Özden Middle School because the building was deemed unsafe due to earthquake risks.

To ensure students could continue their education, they have been transferred to the Ulvi Saime Kaya School, where they will attend classes in morning and afternoon shifts. Led by Principal Metin Özdemir, the teaching staff carried the structure approximately 100 to 200 meters to the new school garden. The gazebo will serve as an outdoor resting area for students during breaks. Local parents noted that the staff had been working for three months to organize the move to prevent the structure from going to waste.
